१. Tenses (काळ)

Tense म्हणजे क्रियेचा काळ — क्रिया कधी घडली ते दाखवतो.

मुख्य तीन प्रकार आहेत:

a) Present Tense (वर्तमानकाळ)

जे काम सध्या होत आहे किंवा नेहमी होत असते.
उदा:

• मी शाळेत जातो.

• तो खेळतो.

b) Past Tense (भूतकाळ)

जे काम आधी झाले आहे.
उदा:

• मी काल शाळेत गेलो.

• ती भाजी बाजारात विकत घेतली.

c) Future Tense (भविष्यकाळ)

जे काम पुढे होणार आहे.
उदा:

• मी उद्या शाळेत जाईन.

• ती येणार आहे.

२. Articles (सर्वनामे — 'a', 'an', 'the')

Articles हे English मध्ये येणारे छोटे शब्द आहेत जे नाव (noun) समोर येतात. मराठीत याचा नेमका उपयोग नसला तरी इंग्रजीत खूप महत्वाचा आहे.

तीन प्रकार:

• a — जेव्हा नावाच्या सुरुवातीला ‘स्वर’ (vowel) येत नाही. उदा: a book, a pen

• an — जेव्हा नावाच्या सुरुवातीला स्वर (a, e, i, o, u) येतो. उदा: an apple, an egg

• the — विशिष्ट एखाद्या वस्तू/व्यक्तीला दाखवण्यासाठी. उदा: the sun, the boy

३. Prepositions (पूर्वसर्ग / अव्यय)

Prepositions हे शब्द वाक्यात नाव, सर्वनाम यांचा संबंध दाखवतात — म्हणजे कोणाशी, कुठे, कधी, कशासाठी हे दर्शवतात.

काही सामान्य prepositions:

• in — आत, मध्ये (उदा: in the room)

• on — वर (उदा: on the table)

• at — ठिकाण/वेळ (उदा: at school, at 5 o'clock)

• under — खाली (उदा: under the bed)

• with — सोबत (उदा: with friend)

• by — जवळ, ने (उदा: by the river, by car)

• from — पासून (उदा: from school)

• to — कडे (उदा: go to market)

काही सामान्य prepositions आणि त्यांचा अर्थ:

• in – मध्ये (in the room)

• on – वर (on the table)

• at – ठिकाण/वेळ (at home, at 5 o'clock)

• under – खाली (under the bed)

• with – सोबत (with friends)

• from – पासून (from school)

• to – कडे (go to market)

• about – बद्दल (talk about book)

• by – जवळ, कडून (by the river, by train)
